Cicely is a qualified Yoga Teacher Trainer with Yoga Alliance Professional UK. With more than 10000 teaching hours under her b̶e̶l̶t̶ leggings, She will be offering Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) in the near future.

Cicely initially trained with Andrea Durant (BWY foundation, 2007), then travelled to India Yoga Viya Gurukal (Yoga teacher training, 2008). She qualified as a senior yoga teacher (Yoga Alliance Professional UK, 2017). She has had the opportunity and honour to experience training with Jo Phee, Shiva Rea, Meghan Currie, and Kino McGregor and again, Andrea Durant. These experiences have accumulated as an expression of her personal teaching style.

Cicely has created the YinYang Flow approach based on Vinyasa Flow, Hatha & Yin Yoga. Yin Yang Flow is based on energetic pathways described in traditional Chinese medicine, to harmonise and balance the Chi within our bodies.

Cicely highly emphasises passionately guiding the student practice. She moves the student to a deeper awareness of the body and developing their flexibility, through the healing of touch and hands on assistance. Cicely has more than 25+ years’ experience as a holistic therapist, applying a multitude of massage styles, including Thai Yoga massage, which has led to her healing approach through yoga.  In her owns words:

“I truly care for my students’ well-being, and spiritual growth. I wish to move students towards health, happiness and peace with a holistic Yin Yang Flow approach.”

Her teaching is inspirational, creative and heartfelt, helping students to strengthen their body and mind, and open their spiritual growth. She expresses this style through her classes, Yoga Private Sessions, and Yoga Workshops and International Yoga Retreats.

Therapeutic practice through Yin/ Yang Flow.

Everything in the universe is energy, and energy takes two fundamental forms:
YIN AND YANG.
The 5 seasons shift between 2 states throughout the year. During this period. We can use the seasonal energy to support and focus our chi/ prana. Autumn expresses the metal element. The metal phase of energy is characterised by solidification descending energy. Therefore, the best yoga practices to cultivate during this time of year are those that balance and nourish the metal element.

  • Learn the therapeutic and energetic substance of yin and yang yoga postures to facilitate the stimulation of the meridians and help any individual at an energetic, emotional and physical level.

  • Learn about the lungs and large intestine meridians and their respective postures, the organs associated with them and the spirit of the organs related to this autumn season.

  • Yin & Yang postures and transitions explore the asanas beyond the ordinary with insight into their therapeutic benefits, applying TCM philosophy.
